  • What is the best time to move?

    It depends. Everyone's situation is different.

  • How long in advance should I contact movers?

    The earlier the better, although we do offer limited same day services. Scheduling in advance improves your chance of getting move done the day and time you prefer.

  • What is an estimate and how many should I get?

    Estimate - rough calculation or educated guess on total cost of move. We feel it is best to get estimates from at least 3 to 5 different moving companies.

  • How many hours do I need?

    Use the tables below to estimate the number of hours you will need.


    Crew Size

    • Sq. Ft. - 2 person/3 person/4 person
    • Under 800 - 2 hrs/2 hrs/N/A
    • 800-1000 - 2 hrs/2 hrs/N/A
    • 1000-1500 - 3 hrs/2-3 hrs/2 hrs
    • 1500-2000 - 4 hrs/3-4 hrs/2-3 hrs
    • 2001-3000 - 6 hrs/4-5 hrs/3-4 hrs
    • 3000-4000 - 6-8 hrs/5-6 hrs/4-5 hrs
    • 4000+ - 10+ hrs/8-10 hrs/6-8 hrs

    Multiple Locations Drive Time

    If a Moving Helper® needs to drive from your first location to your second location you will need to figure drive time into your requested hours.


    Distance Time

    • 10-40 miles 1/2 hr
    • 40-75 miles 1-2 hrs
    • 75-100 miles 2-3 hrs

    Carry Distance to Truck

    The distance from your place to the rental truck factors into the time needed to complete the job.


    Distance Time

    • Under 20 ft - 0 hrs
    • 20-50 ft - 1/2 hr - 1 hr
    • 50+ ft - 1-2 hrs

    Stairs

    Add 1 hour per flight of stairs.

  • How much will my move cost?

    Labor Only Costs:

    • 2 workers: $125/hr
    • 3 workers: $150/hr
    • 4 workers: $175/hr

    Full-Service Costs:

    • 2 movers $200/hr
    • 3 movers $225/hr
    • 4 movers $250/hr

    2-hour minimum for all jobs


    Full Service includes:

    Truck, Gas, Mileage

    Furniture Blankets

    Tools

    Dollies

    Shrink Wrap

  • How and when do I pay the movers?

    Deposit due for scheduling (covers 2hr min cost) debit/credit card , cashapp, chime, paypal.


    Final charges due upon job completion cash, debit/credit card, cashapp, chime, paypal.

  • What information should the moving company provide?

    Moving companies should provide a clear understanding of what they expect from the customer and what the customer should expect.

  • Is there a moving deposit to reserve the time slot?

    Yes, the moving deposit is determined by the 2hr minimum cost of your move.

  • Is there a minimum amount of hours for the moving service?

    2hr minimum.

  • Do you provide moving discounts?

    We offer promotional discounts sometimes.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    You have the right to cancel your order at any time.


    Please know you will only receive 100% refund minus taxes if order is canceled within 24 hours of making deposit or if move if cancelled due to issues on our end that make it not possible to keep your appointment.


    No refund if you cancel your move less than 48 hours before your moving day.


    If move is canceled more than 24 hours after making deposit and more than 48 hours before moving day, 50% of your deposit minus fees will be refunded.


    There is no charge or penalty for rescheduling your moving appointment.


    Moving times are approximate and only the moving day is guaranteed.

  • What is the difference between full service and labor only moving?

    Labor Only Includes

    Just movers. Truck and equipment provided by the customer.
